Cetral Water Commission is a premier technical Organization of India in the field of water Resources and is presently functioning as an attached office of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India.
The Central Water Commission (CWC), Ministry of Water Resources will organise a national level water quiz competition for school students in January 2018 at New Delhi. Contest is restricted to teams consisting of two students studying in 6th, 7th and 8th class regular in any school. The school should be any recognized board in India.
The preliminary round of the quiz competition will be held at the 14 regional centers of the Central Water Commission. The 14 regional Centers are Delhi, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Shilong, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Gandhinagar, Bangalore, Siliguri and Chandigarh and also at NWA, pune. No participation fee is required to attend the competitions. The 1st round will be based on either written, quiz or both depending on the response received from the participants. students will have to make their own travel/boarding/lodging arrangements for the 1st level of the competition. winner and runner-up teams will qualify to participate in the final round to be held in New Delhi.
How to Apply for National Level Water Quiz Competition
The applying school can choose any of the 14 centres, as per their convenience,while the final round will be held at Delhi. Only one team per school comprising of two individual students can take part, in case more than one entry any school then its 1st entry would be accepted.
